Texas (20-12) vs Colorado state (25-10)

Will Texas be ready?

You have to worry about which Texas team you’re going to get today. At times this team has looked really good. Other times, like their last game against Kansas State where they scored 74 points but allowed Kansas to score 78. Their defense is giving up an average of 70 points a game, while the offense is averaging just under 77. The Longhorns are also coming off of a week-long break which is a little concerning considering their best weapon is their shooting. Waking up and playing A+ defense is the only hope for Texas to win this game.

Colorado State Dominated

The Rams matched up against Virginia for the First Four game on Tuesday and absolutely dominated. Scoring 67 points against a good Virginia defense wasn’t even the best part. Holding Virginia to only 42 points in a win or go home game is what we’re talking about here. They’re averaging 76 points a game while only allowing 68 points on defense. The fact that they just played two days ago will be a huge factor in this game and might be trouble for a Texas defense that gives up 70 points a game.

Prediction

Texas not having played in over a week is something to think about. It might take them a little bit to get going and if they’re not playing defense while their shooters get hot, they might not have a chance. With Colorado State coming off such a dominant win just two days ago, they’re going to come into this game with all the confidence in the world. And if they can get hot early it’ll be a long day for a Texas team that doesn’t like to play defense. Rams will keep rolling here with an upset.
